As a mother of three, I know that being a parent is hard. It will take everything you have and then demand for more. Day in and day out you rise to take care of these beautiful souls you have brought into this world.
Their needs and wants fill your head all day until you begin to wonder if you have any thoughts of your own. They argue with their siblings and make messes left and right. You plead for quiet and calm and they respond with loud and chaos.
You begin to question your sanity and wonder if you can make it 5 more minutes without totally losing it. Then it happens. Bedtime has arrived. You tuck them into bed, kiss their heads, tell them you love them and wish them sweet dreams.
I see you there now, gathering your wary thoughts in silence and recapping your day. Wondering if you did everything right as a mother. Did you spend enough time with them? Lose your cool too much? Are you screwing this parenting thing up?
Every mother wonders these things. You are not alone!
You check on your sleeping children and wonder how such calm and precious little faces can be so loud and demanding. They are so peaceful and sweet while they dream. It’s hard to believe hours before they were up running through the house screaming at their siblings and asking for their 50th snack of the day.
I’m here to tell you, you’re doing an amazing job! You’re wonderful, appreciated and loved. They may not see all that you do for them now, but one day they will look back and see that you always had their back. No matter what! You were there for them, cheering them on at school events, helping with homework and encouraging their dreams.
